The Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance (PGDAF) is a one-year diploma program that allows students to earn specialization in the discipline of accounting and finance.

PGDAF is an ideal choice for individuals who have an interest in accounting and finance, and possess strong mathematical and accounting skills. The program allows such students to use their skills for providing accounting and financial services to a variety of stakeholders, including private and public enterprises, governmental and non-governmental organisations, and consulting businesses.

ABC’s PGDAF program intends to familiarize students with the best accounting and Financial Management policies and to help them learn the practical application of information technology in Accounting and Financial Management functions.

The PGDAF course prepares students to work and manage small to medium-sized businesses by teaching them essential business principles and entrepreneurial abilities. The course also imparts the necessary theoretical and practical skills required to improve employability prospects and to thrive in the industry.

The course structure includes subjects such as Management of Financial Service, Corporate Tax Planning, Financial Management, Accounting, Management of Financial Institutions etc. 

PGDAF is a one-year year course with two semesters.

  • The minimal qualification is having a bachelor’s degree in the same field or equivalent discipline from any recognised institute or university with at least 50% marks.
  • Final year students of undergraduate programs who have appeared for their final semester examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply. For such candidates, admission is subjected to completion of their bachelor’s degree programme/graduation within the time frame set by ABC.

Upon completion of PGDAF candidates can work at accountancy firms, insurance companies, investment and high street banks, public sector agencies, multinational financial services firms etc. The various job roles include Financial Accountant, Accounting Officer, Tax Practitioner, Tax Consultant etc.
